WWE announces a massive first-time Joe Hendry segment for upcoming event
WWE has announced that Joe Hendry will return to the company next week at The Great American Bash. He'll be involved in a major in-ring segment during the show.
The 36-year-old wrestler made his shocking debut on the June 18 episode of NXT, where he competed in the 25-man battle royal. However, he didn't last long in the bout as Frankie Kazarian, another TNA wrestler, quickly eliminated him.
Hendry showed up again on the July 9 episode of NXT, where he was revealed as Trick Williams' mystery partner. The two stars defeated Ethan Page and Shawn Spears in a tag team match in the show's main event.
On NXT this week, WWE aired a special video package for Joe Hendry. During the weekend, he competed in the six-way elimination match for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary. He was last eliminated by Nic Nemeth (formerly Dolph Ziggler). A short clip of him clotheslining Moose from the event was shown during the package.
